The fans of Jimmy Buffet are in for good news! The first of the Margaritaville Lake Resort, situated in Texas, is officially welcoming guests now.
According to a press release the owners of the resort, are pleased to announce that, “It’s exciting to be the first resort to introduce the Margaritaville lifestyle to the Lone Star State, offering a quick, drivable escape from major cities like Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio,” In addition to this the press release also informs us about the development of the resort and the fact that it is a project of Songy Highroads (SHR) which is a commercial real estate firm in Atlanta, and The Wampold Companies, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They have been the co-managing partners of the Margaritaville Lake Resort.
The 20-storey lake resort has been built on 186 waterfront acres just on the Lake Conroe shores near Houston. Not only does it include 303 luxury sites but it also has 32 lakefront cottages which includes the opportunity of boat slips. The resort sits on a perfect place, with aesthetic scenery surrounding the Lake Conroe. Furthermore, there are five signature Margaritaville inspired restaurants and bars included in the building, that are coordinated by Landshark Bar & Grill.
In addition to a heated pool all year round, the resort’s three-acre Jolly Mon Water Park consists of a pool for all ages, a lazy river, and water slides and a splash zone for children’s recreation. For other recreational purposes, there is a miniature golf course, an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, pickle ball as well as a Finsup Fitness Centre of 10,000 square foot, for the active guests and members. Activities for rentals are also available, which include boating fishing and water skiing. Since it’s a Buffett themed Resort, it also has an 18,000 square foot St. Somewhere Spa for people who are merely looking for relaxation. It also includes a hair salon.
The resort has also considered people who are looking to arrange special events, be it a corporate meeting or a wedding. There is around 72,000-square feet of IACC approved space (indoor/outdoor) which is purpose-built keeping in mind this requirement.
